One Night in Hollywood: The Annual Black Cat Gala

  • 3 min read
This fall, the Black Cat Gala returns with a brand-new spotlight-worthy theme: One Night in Hollywood, an unforgettable evening inspired by the golden age of film and dedicated to celebrating 15 years of Kitten Angels’ incorporation.

Join us on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the elegant Franklin Terrace Ballroom in Troy, NY, for a night of glamour, community, and compassion—all in support of cats and kittens in need.

With early bird pricing at $75 per person (increasing to $90 after August 1), this is one of our most anticipated events of the year, bringing together supporters, volunteers, and animal lovers for an evening that blends celebration with purpose.

A Celebration with Purpose

While the evening channels the magic of old Hollywood, the heart of the Black Cat Gala remains the same: saving lives.

Every ticket, donation, and auction bid helps support the ongoing work of Kitten Angels, including:

  • Rescue and intake of abandoned and at-risk cats and kittens

  • Essential spay and neuter procedures to help control overpopulation

  • Life-saving vaccinations and medical treatment

  • Critical care such as antibiotics, emergency intervention, and rehabilitation

  • Nutrition and formula support for orphaned and vulnerable kittens

  • Preparation for adoption and lifelong placement in loving homes

These efforts are made possible because of community support, and events like the Black Cat Gala are a vital part of funding that mission year after year.

What to Expect at One Night in Hollywood

Guests will step into an immersive experience designed to celebrate both cinema and compassion. The evening will feature:

Hollywood-themed dinner experience - Begin the night with elegance, a champagne toast at the door, and a beautifully curated meal in a classic old movie atmosphere.

Walk of Fame Tribute Experience - Celebrate beloved pets—past and present—by featuring their names on custom balloons displayed in a Walk of Fame-inspired installation.

Auctions, raffles, and wine pulls - Enjoy a lively selection of fundraising opportunities featuring unique items and exciting chances to support rescue efforts in a fun and interactive way.

Special guest experience - Guests will have the opportunity to connect with Casey DeMarse, a gifted psychic medium and intuitive guide, adding a meaningful and unique element to the evening.

Surprises throughout the night - From special moments to memorable touches, the Gala is designed to delight from start to finish.

Sponsorship Opportunities: Be Part of the Spotlight

Sponsorships play a crucial role in making the Black Cat Gala possible. They allow us to expand the event experience while directly funding the lifesaving work that happens long after the evening ends.

This year’s sponsorship tiers are inspired by Hollywood’s most iconic honors:

  • The Oscar ($5,000+) – Supports nearly 50 spay/neuter surgeries

  • The Emmy ($2,000) – Helps provide large-scale food and nutrition support

  • The Grammy ($1,000) – Funds approximately 100 vaccines

  • The Tony ($500) – Supports critical kitten care and formula

  • The BAFTA ($250) – Helps provide essential medical treatments like antibiotics

Sponsors receive recognition across event materials, social media, and our website—while also becoming an essential part of a mission that saves lives every day.
