It is with great sadness that we announce today that we must temporarily suspend new intakes due to severe financial strain and an urgent need for foster homes. Every day, we receive 40–50 calls and messages from community members seeking help for cats and kittens. Unfortunately, recent emergency rescues and the extensive medical procedures required for animals currently in our care have left us overwhelmed. The 3-3-3 Rule helps guide adopters through a rescue cat’s adjustment period: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn routines, and 3 months to feel fully at home. Kitten Angels uses this rule to support successful, compassionate cat adoptions across New York.
