Giving Tuesday (Dec 2, 2025) is right around the corner — a global day of generosity that reminds us of the incredible things we can accomplish when we come together. For Kitten Angels, it’s one of the most important days of the year (second to National Cat Day 😻), because every gift, big or small, helps us continue our mission to rescue, care for, and find loving homes for cats and kittens across the Capital Region.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

When you donate to Kitten Angels, you’re helping us provide:

• Life-saving veterinary care — from vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries to emergency medical treatments.

• Nutritious food and safe shelter — for hundreds of kittens and cats in our foster network.

• Adoption outreach and education — connecting cats with forever families and teaching our community about responsible pet care.

Every dollar truly adds up — whether it’s $5 to feed a hungry kitten for a day or $100 to cover part of a vet visit for a cat in need. Your contribution goes directly toward improving lives.

What makes Kitten Angels different?

At Kitten Angels, we go the extra mile to ensure every cat receives the best possible care and opportunity for a happy life. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines, and tested for FeLV and FIV before adoption. In 2024, we celebrated a remarkable milestone — over 1,500 cats and kittens found their forever homes. Each year, we take in between 1,500 and 2,000 cats, always striving for adoption as the ultimate goal.

Kitten Angels is 100% volunteer-run, with no paid staff or expenses like office or storefront maintenance. This ensures that every donation fully supports the cats we care for. Our cats and kittens reside in nurturing foster homes or at one of our five PetSmart and one Petco partner locations, where adoptions occur throughout the week.

Ways to Give This Giving Tuesday

There are so many ways to show your support — beyond a one-time donation:

1. Set up a recurring gift – Even a few dollars a month helps us plan ahead and rescue more cats year-round.

2. Facebook or Instagram fundraiser – Encourage your friends and family to join in! Every share spreads awareness.

3. Employer matching – Many workplaces will match charitable donations. Check if your employer participates.

4. Sponsor a cat – You can directly support the ongoing care of a specific cat in foster care, especially helpful with major medical cases such as Squirt or Helen.

Give Beyond Money

Monetary donations aren’t the only way to make a difference. Kitten Angels thrives thanks to the generosity of volunteers and donated supplies. You can help by:

• Becoming a foster parent – Open your home temporarily to give kittens a safe place to grow.

• Volunteering your time – Help at adoption events, transport cats to appointments, or assist with fundraising.

• Donating supplies – We’re always in need of kitten formula, wet and dry food, litter, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and cozy blankets.

• Shopping our wish lists – Visit our Amazon wish list to send supplies directly where they’re needed.
